Translations
Are you in the midst of launching a product on a new market, or hoping to communicate the findings of your latest research project to a wider audience? Be it an operating manual or a financial report, it is crucial that the details be conveyed properly in native English. Translating is not just a matter of knowing the two languages in question, but also requires expert knowledge of the industry, which is why I specialize in transport, construction, finance and apiculture.

Proofreading
Many professionals choose to write in English even though it is not their native language. Writing in a language that is not your own can be daunting and many times concentrating on avoiding orthographic mistakes and grammatical errors draws focus away from the actual content. Why not let your creative juices flow and allow me to take care of ironing out kinks? I am well versed in proofreading material in my native English and can give your work the final touch it needs to really stand out.
Transcreation
Transcreation takes translating one step further. It entails adapting creative content to suit the unique cultural characteristics of the target audience, which in many cases involves moving away from the original text. Puns based on German pop culture or references to a common Mexican stereotype about mariachis generally do not come across well when translated into English. My job is to recreate the same effect for your English-speaking audience. Transcreation is recommended for advertising campaigns, slogans and promotional videos.
Interpreting
Speaking in front of a crowded room is a difficult task as it is, why make it more difficult by attempting to do so in a foreign language? English may be the lingua franca of our age, but spending an entire day listening to speeches and presentations in a foreign language can be tiresome and participants are not able to retain the information as well as they would in their own language. That is where I come in. I have years of experience interpreting in a wide array of different settings, from large symposiums with hundreds of participants to small-scale product demonstrations in the field. I make sure that the audience understands what is being said so that the speaker can focus entirely on the presentation at hand. If you are not sure what type of interpreting would best suit your event (simultaneous, consecutive or chuchotage), I would be more than happy to offer my professional advice.
Linguistic Consulting
Are you looking to expand your business overseas and are not quite sure what this would involve on a linguistic scale? Having worked for many large corporations over the years, I know exactly what is needed to get the ball rolling in a new market, be it contacting local authorities in order to request the necessary approvals, posting hiring ads for local employees or even on-site visits to a new subsidiary. I can accompany you throughout the process to make sure that language does not pose a barrier. Or maybe you need a translator or an interpreter for a language other than English, Spanish and German. I have developed a large network of translator and interpreter colleagues over the years and can put you in contact with an expert in your field.
